Toddler Program

This is a fun, enriching program designed for children two to three years of age.

In this program the children are provided a warm, nurturing environment in which they are encouraged to explore, create and learn.

The children are introduced to jobs, ideas and concepts from all areas of the Montessori environment and taught to love and respect their environment.

Because one can never be quite sure how the day’s events will progress, all times are approximate.

(Children in this program do not have to be potty trained.)

7:00 – 8:00

The children may eat a light breakfast (provided by you) and play daycare in one of our classrooms.

8:00 – 9:00

Weather permitting, children are allowed to play outside in our beautiful backyard playground.

9:00 – 9:15

Children go inside to wash hands.

9:15 – 9:30

Snack time (We provide snack.  It is always a fresh fruit and carbohydrate item (ex: raisin bread toast with butter, PB&J with organic peanut butter on whole wheat bread)).

9:30 – 9:45

Circle time. This includes morning songs, calendar, felt story, weather, Montessori job presentation.

9:45 – 10:15

Work time:  Children are allowed to work on any jobs in the classroom, as long as the jobs are not beyond their particular skill level (ex: most four year olds would not be working on the multiplication box job).  During this work time, the teachers will work individually with the children assigned to her on their math and language jobs.  Progress on these jobs is documented daily.
